Dr. Hamilton: “We do plastic surgery procedures and aesthetic procedures for men all the time. It’s a big market. Men are interested in aesthetic surgery, and I enjoy doing it. I can help many, many men achieve their goals of feeling younger, looking younger and feeling better. Some of the conditions are in common with women, so I see chaps who are interested in facial rejuvenation, neck lift, rhinoplasty, or may be interested in having prominent ears set back. Also, there are procedures that are specific for men, such as gynecomastia, which is enlargement of the male breast. They’re very embarrassed about it because they’ve got a breast that looks like a female breast, so they’re reluctant to go down to the beach, reluctant to take off their shirt in the locker room, at the gym. This condition is treatable by surgery with a small incision under the nipple, and removing tissue, sometimes with a bit of liposuction. These patients feel so much better about themselves afterwards, so much more confident. It’s life changing, as many aesthetic procedures are. There are a whole range of aesthetic procedures. The one I love is the neck lift. It can just totally change the profile of a man’s jaw and neck in two hours. And they feel so good about it.”
