Breast lift offered at Hamilton House serving Adelaide and surrounding areas in South Australia restores and rejuvenates a sagging bust line. Breast sagginess or droopiness can be caused by a number of factors, including:
A breast lift can make the breasts firmer and more youthful in appearance by literally lifting the breasts and tightening the skin envelope.
A breast lift performed by our South Australia cosmetic surgeon begins with very careful planning, followed by an incision made along the natural contour of the breast.
Dr. Richard Hamilton will remove any excess breast tissue and skin, then lift and sculpture the breast glandular tissue. The nipples will be repositioned and the breast reshaped, creating a higher, firmer, perky bust line. Breast implants can also be placed during the breast lift procedure at our Adelaide surgery center for patients who desire larger breasts along with a firmer bust line.
Breast lift is generally performed as a day surgery procedure and takes about two to three hours to complete.

In the days following the procedure, most patients experience some minor discomfort, including bruising and swelling, that usually dissipates within 48 hours. Most of our breast lift patients are able to return to their normal routines about one week after the procedure; however, heavy lifting and strenuous exercise should be avoided for several weeks.
A breast lift performed at our South Australia practice serving Adelaide and beyond can restore fullness and firmness to the bust line, providing a youthful, "perky" appearance. Breast Lift can also be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as short scar facelift, rhinoplasty or tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) for a comprehensive body makeover, although not in the same session!

Neck and back pain, bra strap indentations on the shoulders, and general discomfort are all unfortunate realities for women who have exceptionally large, heavy breasts. Oversized breasts can make a woman feel self-conscious and embarrassed as well as physically uncomfortable. Breast reduction offered at Hamilton House serving Adelaide and surrounding areas is a reconstructive plastic cosmetic procedure by which the breasts are made smaller, lighter, better shaped and more proportionate to the body.
The breast reduction procedure begins with careful planning and marking of the landmarks, then an incision is made around the areola (the dark circle of skin surrounding the nipple) and below the natural curve of the breast. Next, excess fat, glandular tissue, and skin are removed, and the remaining skin envelope is tightened around the newly contoured breast. The procedure may take up to three hours and is performed under general anaesthesia in a day surgery.

Although there will likely be swelling, temporary bruising, and some pain, these side effects diminish quickly as the breasts heal. Pain is surprisingly minimal with Dr. Hamilton’s technique of breast reduction. Complete recovery from breast reduction surgery generally takes two weeks, and patients should not engage in activity that requires heavy lifting or strenuous exercise for a period of several weeks. But most patients can return to work within one or two weeks of the procedure. The amount of residual scarring depends on the breast reduction surgery technique utilized and the extent of the procedure. Dr. Hamilton will go over these options with you at the initial consultation.

Many men and teenage boys feel self-conscious about extra fat and tissue localized in the chest area. It can affect men in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s too. Fortunately, this medical condition, gynecomastia, or more commonly known as "man boobs," or even "bitch tit," can be treated with a procedure sometimes referred to as male breast reduction, which we offer at Hamilton House serving patients from Adelaide, South Australia and the surrounding areas.
There are a number of factors that may contribute to gynecomastia (man boobs) including:
Dr. Richard Hamilton thoroughly examines each patient's medical history in order to determine the likely cause of the condition. Using that information, Dr. Hamilton discusses the best treatment options with the patient to determine the most appropriate course of action.
Depending on the patient's needs, two variations on the male breast reduction procedure may be performed during surgery at our Adelaide centre. If glandular tissue needs to be removed, the procedure will be conducted using a scalpel or scalpel-liposuction approach. For this procedure, the incision can usually be placed discreetly under the nipple areola (the dark area surrounding the nipple). Once the incision has been made, the excess tissue, fat, and skin is removed and the remaining breast tissue is tightened and lifted. The scar is absolutely minimal.
If only fatty tissue needs to be removed, the procedure can be performed by means of liposuction alone, which entails a much smaller incision. Depending on the type of male breast reduction surgery performed, the procedure typically lasts about one and a half hours or less.
Temporary swelling, bruising, some numbness, and a burning sensation are common after male breast reduction. Patients at our Adelaide Plastic Surgery practice are generally able to resume light activities within a day and more strenuous routines after one week. Although weight gain and the use of certain medications can cause gynecomastia to recur, the results of male breast reduction are typically a permanent loss of your embarrassing "man boobs."
